Lobelia cardinalis

This is supposed to be native to my area, but I have not came across any at my cottage.

Lobelia cardinalis ‘Queen Victoria’ in July

This is a blooming machine with attractive purplish foliage, and nice vertical tall structure. It is supposed to be very short lived or marginally hardy here. It is well worth growing as an annual.

Lobelia speciosa ‘Fan Scarlet’

This a nice red cultivar similar to Lobelia cardinalis ‘Queen Victoria’ but not as tall and with green foliage.

Lobelia x speciosa ‘Cranberry Crush’

Under observation. Interesting shade of red.

Lobelia x speciosa ‘Rruby Slippers’

Under observation. Interesting shade of red.

Lobelia x speciosa ‘Russian Princess’

Did not survive the first season to be observed.
