This is one of the ‘must have’ perennials in my garden. I grow them for their ornamental foliage and flowers, and for their easily controlled neat habit. Most of the Lavandula in my garden are from seeds I sowed many years ago. They self-sow a little, but not enough. Unfortunately, I was not serious in keeping track of their identities.
Lavandula angustifolia ‘Silver Edge’
Though the foliage is not quite variegated, it has a nice silvery look.
Lavandula x intermedia ‘Goldburg’
This is probably the most beautiful Lavandula I have ever tried. Unfortunately, it is not hardy to our area, but I would try it again if I can get hold of it; even if that means that I have to give it some special winter protection.
