Kniphofia ‘First Sunrise’ in July

(Under construction)
The common pictures and the name of ‘Red Hot Porker’ had given me a bad impression of this perennial for many years and was ignoring it as a coarse and inelegant ornamental. However, ignoring the silly common name, and looking at the number of cool new varieties available, this is actually an interesting and potentially useful ornamental perennial for garden use.
