Iberis saxatalis in May

(Initial version 11 Feb 2014)
This is a popular perennial for very good reasons: a neat mound ground cover, dark evergreen foliage, long live, not aggressive, beautiful white flower in spring.

Iberis sempervirens

I sowed this from seed more than 20 years ago. I have to divide and move the original plant a few years ago because of some renovation. Now I have a few offspring here and there.

Iberis ‘Absolutely Amethyst’

This is a pretty plant but it did not survive the first winter. However, a cutting propagated from the plant appears to have survived.
