Epimedium

(Under construction)

  • Epimedium grandiflorum 'Saxtons Purple' in May

They are perfect woodland groundcover; slow spreading compact mound of neat foliage, and are covered with hanging flower on graceful stems in early spring.
Epimedium is another addictive plant for collectors. They are generally expensive, and varieties available in local nurseries are very limited. Most of the varieties we have are fairly recent acquisitions. Many are from small mail ordered plants.
