(Revised 17 Dec 2013)
Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Viridis’ is one of the most common Japanese maple on the market here. It is a highly ornamental plant for any garden design. The fall colour can vary depending on individual plant. We have two in the garden. Both are more than 20 years old, and attain a high and spread of about 1.5 m. They are both in about 50% shade. (Note: ‘Viridis’ is no longer classified as a cultivar name. It is used as a class name for the group of maples that have similar appearance. )
