We acquired this for its uniquely extra large leaf size. The leaf shape is of typical japonicum maple leaf shape. It turned out that the fall colour was a spectacular brilliant scalet red. It was probably one of the most brillian fall colours of any trees that I have seen so far. I hope it survives its first winter which encounters a record prolonged extremely cold temperature.
