Garden Sanctuaries
(Revised 11 Feb 2011)
When you enter a garden, would you like to have a place to hang out, and perhaps have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while you enjoy the garden surrounding you? I refer to such hang out areas as sanctuaries (I know it is too big a word, but I can’t think of a better word). Ideally, the environment of such hang out places should be conducive to the reflection/refreshment of your thought, or at least stress relieving.
Often such areas involve expensive hardscape. We have very simple and minimal hardscape in our garden; just enough to allow us to visit various parts of our garden. It is really a matter of priotized resource allocation rather than what our taste dictates. In my case, I tried to get away with as little cost as possible (so that more resources can be directed to acquire more new and interesting plants). Perhaps some day this will change.

I have never thought of writing for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out; that is the reason why I compose.
