Pulmonaria

(Revised 13 Feb 2011)
I finally noticed the beauty of the pulmonarias that were kicking around in our garden for many years. Now I want all varieties that I can get hold of. Why didn’t I appreciate the quiet beauty sooner? Their simple flowers and leaves add neat and attractive patterns to the shady parts of the garden.

Pulmonaria ‘Blue Ensign’

The foliage may be plain green, but it is the bluest Pulmonaria I have.

Pulmonaria ‘David Ward’

I have it some where in the garden, but forgot to take any photo os it.

Pulmonaria saccharata ‘Excalibur’

I have this for many years. It self-sowed here and there, and I don’t mind that at all.
