Lilium

The tall and narrow structural characteristic of lilium should be an interesting attribute to exploit in garden compositions, but I still have not done so yet. In fact I think some of my liliums are starting to decline because of prolonged neglect. Personally, I prefer those that has a looser hanging habit rather than those that hang tight together.

Late July: Lilium ‘Red Velvet’
Lilium ‘Merostar’: it looks a little overly showy, but I don’t dislike it; perhaps I need to introduce a companion that overpowers it somewhat.
The popular Lilium ‘Dot.com’
Lilium ‘?’ (need to look for its tag)
Somewhere in the garden….
A little too heavy, but there may be a place for it somehwere in the garden.
