Acer pal. ‘Shigitasu sawa’

Acer palmatum ‘Shigitasu sawa’ is one of our favourite maples. Its exquisite luminous greenish cream leaves with a delicate darker green veins in spring, and brilliant showy fall colour are just outstanding features. Very few trees are as elegant as this. I must admit the brightness of its fall colour is not reliable. This tree is more than 17 years old, and is about 3.0 m high. It is in about 30% shade.
