Acer pal. ‘Osakazuki’
(Revised 8 Feb 2011)
A maple that is reputed to have the most brilliant red fall colour. Apart from the reliable fall colour, I like its elegant leaf form and tree structure. We have a few left in the garden, and they are all more than 12 years old. It is a vigorous grower. The one under a pine tree (about 20% shade) is about 4 m high with little pruning, and one that is located under a cherry tree (probably 60% shade) with some pruning is about 2.5 m high.
