Graceful Grasses
(Under construction)
I like their graceful contrast with the stately elegance of conifers, and their contribution to add grace to paths or steps.

I don’t know much about plants and gardening but I like the way you put different plants beside each other, with different heights and different colors…really beautiful
Welcome, and thanks for your encouraging comment.
I am very fond of Veronicas – they are the work horses in my garden. They neatly fill spaces, always seem to do well and bloom on and on forever. I was inspired to think about gardens today as the sun is shining and there is very little snow to be seen where I live in London, ON. On your website I came across this photo which has in it what looks like a sage coloured veronica. Is it? Could you put a name to it? http://gardencanadensis.ca/eusian/index.php/peren/veronica/
I would very much like to add it to my growing collection of veronicas and would be grateful for any information you have about it.
Thank you…..Meg
Hi Meg,
Indeed Veronica is a big wonderful of its own, and I would like to explore more of it as well.
Not sure which picture you referred to. If you meant the fifth one, unfortunately I acquired that plant many years ago before I started entering perennials into my database. I can only recall the tag said ‘Veronica’ (although I have my doubt on the identity). The sad part is I lost it last summer because I have to move it around a couple of times, and it did not forgive me.
